World Book Day 2018
1 March 2018
Wow — what creative parents we have ~ there were some fabulous ideas with some children almost unrecognisable! The children thoroughly enjoyed spotting the different characters of both children and staff. A huge thank you to all the mums, dads and grandparents who helped to create the wonderful costumes. During the morning the children took part in a carousel of book related activities in mixed year groups! Following last week’s visit by the author Sarah Oliver and illustrator Scott Wells, the Infants took the book ‘The Best world Book Week Ever’ as their theme . It was lovely to see Y1/Y2 helping Reception beautifully with their activities. In the Juniors the children moved round in their houses where activities included solving problems with a Sherlock Holmes theme and looking at Narnia, one of the books on the list of 100 books children should read before leaving primary school!
