PSHE at KWPS

What PSHE Looks Like at KWPS:

  • EYFS: Learning through play, discussion, stories and circle time – recorded in a class floor book.

  • KS1 & KS2: Taught weekly through structured lessons, discussions, drama, writing, debates and themed days.

  • Enrichment: NSPCC, online safety (Digital Matters), Bikeability, and charity events.

  • Assemblies: Focused on key themes linked to PSHE, SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural) and British Values.

  • Cross-curricular links: Through Science, PE, RE, Computing and DT.

  • Inclusive practice: All pupils access the PSHE curriculum. Content is adapted sensitively to reflect gender, culture, and family backgrounds.

We also provide support through our Bee-Hive Nurture Room and a dedicated nurture leader, working with families and children who may need additional emotional support.
