Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA)
At Kirkham and Wesham Primary School, we are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) that plays an important role in supporting our school community.
Every parent, carer and grandparent of a child attending KWPS is automatically a member of the PTFA, and everyone is welcome to get involved.
Why Join the PTFA?
The PTFA helps make many of the memorable experiences our children enjoy possible. By working together, we can raise valuable funds to enhance school life and provide opportunities and resources that benefit every child.
Whether you can spare an hour to help at an event, share a new fundraising idea or become part of the organising team, every contribution is valued and appreciated.
How You Can Help
There are lots of ways to get involved, including:
- helping to organise school events
- volunteering at fairs, discos and family activities
- supporting fundraising initiatives
- sharing ideas for future events
- helping behind the scenes with planning and preparation
- joining the PTFA committee.
You do not need any previous experience, and there is no expectation that you attend every event. Even giving a small amount of your time can make a huge difference to our school community.
What the PTFA Supports
Funds raised by the PTFA help provide additional experiences and resources for our children, including:
- educational resources
- playground and outdoor improvements
- enrichment opportunities
- special events and celebrations
- equipment that enhances teaching and learning.
Every penny raised is invested back into the school to benefit all our pupils.
We'd Love More Parents to Get Involved
As our school continues to grow, we are keen to welcome new parents, carers and grandparents to help lead and support the PTFA.
Fresh ideas, new faces and different skills help keep our events exciting and successful. Whether you would like to volunteer occasionally or take on a more active role within the committee, your support would be greatly appreciated.
Together, we can continue to create wonderful opportunities and lasting memories for all of our children.
Interested?
If you would like to become involved or find out more about the PTFA, please contact the school office. We will be delighted to put you in touch with the Chair of the PTFA, who will be happy to answer any questions and explain how you can get involved.
We look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic team!
